Does your animal display a very cool, calm, and contented temperament, taking everything in their stride? Or do they seem unsettled and on edge at the slightest unusual noise? Understanding their behaviour can give us insights into their Root chakra, a vital energy centre that influences their sense of security and stability.
The Root chakra is located at the base of your animal’s spine, symbolised by the colour red, which signifies strength and vitality. It governs their physical and emotional needs for survival and self-preservation, reflecting their instinctual responses to the world.
For animals that have experienced trauma, such as being rescued from neglect or abandonment, their Root chakra may be imbalanced, affecting their sense of safety and security.
Positive energy in the Root chakra helps animals let go of fear, accept changes, and feel secure. It supports organs like the adrenal glands, kidneys, and skeletal system, contributing to overall physical and emotional well-being.
A balanced Root chakra manifests in animals as confidence and resilience, enabling them to navigate life with ease.
Signs of an imbalanced Root chakra include daily nervousness, fearfulness, and a strong flight response, such as hiding or running away from unfamiliar visitors. Issues like eating disorders, weight fluctuations, fatigue, and anxiety can also stem from Root chakra imbalances.
You can support your animal’s Root chakra through gentle techniques like placing your hands a few inches above their coccyx area and working with healing crystals such as Red Jasper and Smoky Quartz.
